Emily Rodda is indisputably Australia's most influential and successful children's author of her era. Rodda has won the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award (Younger Readers) a record five times. To all of her many adoring fans (both young and old), readers, teachers and retailers, she is the queen of children's fantasy and a master plot weaver!

She is undoubtedly Australia's number one children's author. Rodda's Deltora Quest series has achieved phenomenal worldwide sales of close to 18 million copies. The series has also been published in 36 countries and translated into 30 languages.

Emily has authored more than 50 children's books including the Rondo, The Three Doors, Deltora Quest, Rowan of Rin and Fairy Realm series. She has also written popular adult fiction and television series under her real name, Jennifer Rowe.

She first started writing as a young child, a passion that continued and led to a career as a book editor and publisher. She was also the editor of The Australian Women's Weekly, and it was during this time that she started writing children's fiction, under the now well-known pseudonym of Emily Rodda.
